MOSCOW, Jan 28 Israeli police detained more than 40 people after
«Police said on Saturday that 42 people had been detained in connection with the attack,» according to the Times of Israel, a synagogue attack in East Jerusalem.

The attack followed the liquidation of ten Palestinians by the Israeli military during a raid in the Palestinian city of Jenin on the West Bank of the Jordan River. Thus, the official representative of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, Hazem Kasem, called the terrorist attack in Jerusalem a «reaction» to the actions of the IDF.
