
NEW DELHI, Jan 28 Two pilots who crashed in India Su-30 and Mirage 2000 fighters of the country's Air Force escaped, a search is underway for a third, Ani news agency reports, citing sources in the Ministry of Defense.
«Two pilots are safe. An Air Force team will soon arrive at the scene by helicopter to establish the condition of the third pilot,» the agency's interlocutors said.
Two Indian Air Force Su-30 and Mirage 2000 fighters crashed on Saturday in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The planes took off from the Gwalior air base located in the state, where the exercises were held. According to sources, there were two pilots on board the Su-30, while there was one pilot in the Mirage 2000 cockpit.
It is noted that in connection with the state of emergency, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh contacted the Chief of Defense Staff, General Anil Chauhan and Air Force Commander Vivek Ram Chaudhary.
