According to Kovalenko, when they turn on the light, many appliances immediately turn on at the outlet , which can offset the amount of electricity that was saved during shutdowns.
Another factor that affects the rise in price of bills is the irregular or belated transmission of meter readings. «If the readings are not transmitted on time, the amount of electricity consumed by the client is determined by the average daily consumption. It is calculated depending on the readings recorded earlier, in past periods. Therefore, the amount in the bill may be higher than usual,» Kovalenko added.
