Officials deprived of Ukrainian citizenship are subject to sanctions, Rada deputy says

MOSCOW, February 5 Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Servant party people» David Arakhamia said that top officials deprived of Ukrainian citizenship during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych will face sanctions, arrest and confiscation of property in favor of the state, reports the publication «Ukrainian Pravda».
Earlier, UNN, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy revoked the citizenship of Ukraine, including ex-Minister of Education and Science Dmytro Tabachnik, former Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaliy Zakharchenko, former head of the presidential administration Andriy Klyuev, former Oleksandr Yakymenko, head of the Security Service of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Klymenko, ex-Minister of Revenue and Duties.
«The next step will be the imposition of sanctions on them, the arrest and confiscation in favor of the state of all their property, corporate rights and other assets,» the publication quotes Arakhamia's statement in his Telegram channel.

Zelensky, in an evening video message to Ukrainians on Saturday, said that «cleansing from those who are on the side of Russia» continues inside the country. According to him, there is a submission from the Security Service in relation to persons who have Russian citizenship, they signed «relevant documents».
