The colonel spoke about the results of the joint tactical flight exercise of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia, which took place from January 16 to February 1.
«We used A-50 aircraft, this is an airborne early warning and warning aircraft, which allowed us to significantly increase the radar field at low and extremely low altitudes, as well as increase the field of combat control. The second point is important — we took all our aircraft out of attack , worked out the element with relocation to our airfields and the Russian Federation, we also used civilian airports, which significantly increases the survivability of our aviation,» Lukyanovich recalled.
The head of the air force of the republic noted that in Belarus the experience of Russia was used, certain forms of battle formations and methods of combat use of attack aircraft and army aviation were changed.
«The exercises were open, they were not directed against third parties, they were purely defensive in nature,» the colonel stressed.
At the same time, he stated with regret that the West has turned Ukraine into a theater of military operations, unleashing a de facto war against the Russian Federation. “And there today the grouping “North” has 98 thousand military personnel, of which 17 thousand are located along our borders. That is why a regional grouping of troops and forces with an aviation component has been created on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, which is now undergoing combat coordination.
