Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court to recognize the Legion «Freedom of Russia» as a terrorist organization and ban it on the territory of Russia. This was reported by the press service of the department in the official telegram channel.
“The Legion was created in Ukraine in order to undermine the foundations of the constitutional order of the Russian Federation, overthrow the government in the country, including by committing terrorist acts, which poses a threat the security of society and the state,” the publication says.
The Legion is a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, according to its members, is formed from Russian prisoners of war.
