
ISTANBUL, Feb 7 Turkish port of Iskenderun in southeastern Turkey, Anadolu news agency reported.
The fire broke out on Monday evening in containers with cargo in the port area. The containers overturned during the earthquake. The cause of the fire has not yet been established.
According to the agency, the coast guard ship Yaşam was involved in the extinguishing, but the fire covers all new areas in the port.
The port of Iskenderun in the province of Hatay was temporarily out of service on Monday due to destruction after the earthquake in the region.
