The Ministry of Internal Affairs put on the federal wanted list the human rights activist Alexandra Garmazhapova, the founder of the Free Buryatia Foundation, which helps the military from the republic terminate contracts and return from the war in Ukraine. Garmazhapova herself reported this to Mediazona.

According to Alexandra Garmazhapova, a criminal case against her could have been initiated under the article on military “fakes” (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) — the Empire of Pravda telegram channel with a thousand subscribers wrote about this a few weeks ago.
In addition to the article, the post from the anonymous pro-government channel also cited the date Garmazhapova left Russia. The day and month were accurate, but the year was not. There was no such data in open sources, she noted.
The Code of Criminal Procedure refers the article about «fake news» about the military to the Investigative Committee. The wanted card, according to open data, contains the numbers of policemen from Ulan-Ude.
In the fall of 2022, Alexandra Garmazhapova was included in the register of «foreign agents», and in the summer Roskomnadzor blocked the website of Free Buryatia. The Foundation told the stories of Buryat refuseniks, for refusing to fight in Ukraine, some of them were sent to the pre-trial detention center in Lugansk.
