Evpatoria street artist Bohdan Ziza, arrested in the case of preparing to commit a terrorist attack (part 1 of article 30, part 1 of article 205 of the Criminal Code), in an interview with Krym. Realiam” said that the security forces beat him, forcing him to apologize on camera for the anti-war action.
On the night of May 16, Ziza doused the buildings of the city administration of Evpatoria with blue and yellow paints and threw a Molotov cocktail at him. On the same day, the Krym 24 TV channel published a video of the artist's apology. On the recording, the detainee looks confused and very worried, his T-shirt is torn, but there are no visible signs of beatings.
“I want to apologize to the Crimeans and residents of Evpatoria. I am ready to suffer punishment and atone for my guilt with overwork,” he said.
Ziza told “Crimea. Realiam” from the pre-trial detention center that there were five such videos. The first got into the media, the second was attached to the case file, a few more were rejected. They were filmed by FSB officers.
“First, they calmly ask to say everything they need on camera. Then, when you refuse, they begin, threatening, to convince. They first forced me to record one video, which they sent to some of their boss for verification. Then another, when he replied that somehow I did not repent very sincerely. <…> Then I had to apologize to the Russian army, then to Putin, ”said the artist.
The fact that Zizu was arrested became known only four days after his detention — before that, acquaintances and human rights activists did not know about the whereabouts of the Evpatorian. In the summer, Zizu was added to the list of extremists and terrorists.
