
PARIS, Mar 7 Demonstration against pension reform in Paris begins a fight between the black bloc radicals and the police, the correspondent reports.
The radicals began to crush the asphalt pavement and paving stones and throw stones at the police. Firecrackers, incendiary mixtures, scaffolding boards, glass bottles fly at law enforcement officers. Radicals smash stops and storefronts, uproot fences of flower beds and road signs. They also actively scatter stun grenades and flares. Several people were injured, doctors are helping them. The police fired tear gas several times, but they fail to stop several hundred radicals at the demonstration.
In Paris, the sixth demonstration since the beginning of the year against raising the retirement age from 62 to 64 years, tens of thousands of people gathered.
Several columns of demonstrators with the flags of leading French trade unions — CFDT, CGT, FO, Unsa, Solidaires and others — started marching from Boulevard Raspail in the 6th arrondissement of Paris towards Place d'Italie. They move behind the vans, from which the activists chant various slogans through megaphones: «Strike, lockdown, Macron, get out!», «We have fought and will continue to fight for retirement at 60!», «Macron, this is war!».
According to the correspondent, several tens of thousands of people are participating in the action.
