VIENNA, Mar 8 Western countries are not ready to conclude negotiations to restore the JCPOA, if they stopped obstructing the process, concerns about Iran's nuclear program would be eliminated, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, said.
«»Iran is accused of blocking the completion of negotiations on the restoration of the JCPOA. But it is the Western countries that are not ready for this. If they stopped obstructing the process, the grounds for concern about Iran's nuclear program would be eliminated,» Ulyanov said at the IAEA Board of Governors . His statement leads the official Telegram channel of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to international organizations in Vienna.
«The stalling of the Vienna talks on the JCPOA affects the mood in the Council. Those who recently stated that there is no alternative to the JCPOA are now speaking less clearly. Now a clear position in favor of restoring the JCPOA is especially in demand,» the Permanent Representative added.
He also stated that any sensitive information regarding IAEA safeguards should not be leaked to the media. «We note the wise choice of the Agency and Iran not to succumb to provocation, adhere to the protocols for the settlement of anomalies and continue cooperation,» Ulyanov said.
