BELGRADE, Mar 10 Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that the country's authorities and companies did not supply weapons to Ukraine or Russia, but pointed out that the produced ammunition often ends up in the conflict zone, despite bans.
Vučić on March 5 called reports of Belgrade arms sales to Kiev «outright lies» and noted that Serbia does not supply military products neither to Ukraine nor Russia. The Serbian Ministry of Defense previously stated that they did not supply ammunition to the end user in Ukraine.
«We are talking about a batch of ammunition that ended up in Turkey, we set a limit for the end user … But no matter what ammunition you supply somewhere, they will still end up in Syria or in some Mali on one We comply with all international laws, we have not violated a single norm, this is called the end user — end user — and everything is clean as a tear,» the President of Serbia said on TV Happy.
» It was not about Ukraine or Russia, but if you export to Azerbaijan, some Arab countries, then it may end up in Russia, and if you export to Spain, America, Turkey, and if to Turkey, it may end up on either side «There are different merchants. But we must live and provide for people in Valjevo, Cacak … our economy must develop, we produce weapons and ammunition, not heels and shoe insoles,» Vučić said.
The Serbian Defense Enterprise «Krushik» stated that it had studied and refuted the «documents» attached to the reports on the sale of missiles for the Grad MLRS to Ukraine.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said earlier that Russia called on Serbia to clarify the situation with possible arms supplies to Ukraine, according to her, this is an extremely important topic for bilateral relations.
