In her speech, Gaida spoke about the causes of the global energy crisis, the impact of Western sanctions on the fuel and energy complex and the Russian economy.
«The expert's argument clearly illustrated the absurdity of accusations against our country about allegedly «provoking» the global energy crisis, demonstrated the effect of unilateral restrictive measures on the world economy, and debunked the myth about the detrimental effect of sanctions on the fuel and energy complex and the Russian economy,» the embassy notes.
«The role of Russia in the energy sector has always been one of the leading ones: the energy market is truly global and cannot function without Russia,» the diplomatic mission quoted Gaida as saying.
The speech of the Russian woman aroused great interest among the participants of the event, among whom were deputies of the National Assembly, representatives of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Oil Affairs, members of the board of the Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA, professors and industry experts.
