VLADIVOSTOK, March 11 After almost three days, law enforcement officers detained a convict who had escaped from a colony-settlement in Primorye, a representative of the regional GUFSIN said.
Earlier, the regional GUFSIN agency was told that a man who was at the site of the colony-settlement at IK-20 escaped from the territory. The prosecutor's office said that a case had been opened on the fact of the escape. According to the department, the man was serving a sentence for robbery, attempted murder and murder. In the past, he was repeatedly judged. A source in the power structures of the region noted that during his criminal career, the fugitive earned five convictions, including the last one.
«Thanks to the competent joint actions of the employees of the GUFSIN and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the convict Ivchenko, who had previously left his place of serving his sentence in the colony-settlement in Artyom, was detained. According to the police, law enforcement officers were looking for the fugitive for almost three days. On the evening of March 11, the police worked out the forest in the Shkotovsky district. Service-search dogs named Berta and Jamaica, under the guidance of specialists from the canine service Natalya Solovieva and Yulia Sorogina, found the personal belongings of the convict in the field and took the police officers to the place of his retreat. The fugitive was found and detained in the village of Shkotovo, where he came to buy food.
