At the same time, the company has repeatedly said that customers are receiving requests for the Alpine A110 roadster. However, the manufacturer did not assume that at some point an open-top version of the model would be needed. It is reported that now the French sports car manufacturer is in the process of testing new items. So, the initial version will most likely be equipped with a 252-horsepower engine, its maximum torque moment — 320 Nm. And the top version will have an engine like the A110 S/GT (and, perhaps, some of these additions to the name): we are talking about a 300-horsepower 1.8-liter (340 Nm) petrol “turbo-four” that works paired with a seven-speed «automatic» Getrag with two wet clutches.
Note that Alpine is going to develop in other segments. So, now the future GT X-Over crossover is under development, which should enter the market in 2025. In addition, at the beginning of this year, it became known that Renault was thinking about creating a pair of Alpine brand crossovers on the Lotus platform.
