MINSK, March 12 President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived on an official visit to Iran, the Pool of the First telegram channel, close to the press service of the head of the Belarusian state, reported.
«At the airport, the president was met by Seyyed Reza Fatemi Amin, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, co-chairman of the Iranian part of the mixed Belarusian-Iranian commission on economic cooperation. Short talks immediately upon arrival,» the report says.
In turn, the state agency Belta reported that on March 13 in Tehran Lukashenka will hold talks with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi.
Earlier, the press service of the head of the Belarusian state reported that Lukashenka would pay an official visit to Iran on March 12-13. In Tehran, in particular, he will hold talks with the President of Iran. It is expected that one of the central events of the visit will be the signing of a comprehensive roadmap for cooperation between Belarus and Iran. Also, following the talks of the presidents, a number of international documents on the development of relations in areas of mutual interest will be signed.
According to the press service, the meeting of the presidents will be held in narrow and extended formats with the participation of members of the delegations. The parties will discuss trade and economic cooperation, implementation of projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, transport and logistics. Special attention will be paid to the situation in the region and in the world as a whole, the press service added.
According to her, during his visit to Iran, Lukashenka will also meet with First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber, Chairman of the Islamic Council Assembly Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf and Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
