BP and the Renault Group, through its division Renault Sport Racing, have announced a major strengthening of their relationship, as a result of which the global energy company will continue to support the Renault Sport Formula One Team for at least another five years and will consider new opportunities for cooperation with the Renault Alliance -Nissan-Mitsubishi on a global scale.
Building on their first season together and the successful meeting between Carlos Ghosn, President and CEO of Renault, and Bob Dudley, CEO of BP Group, where they exchanged their vision for the future, the BP Castrol brand and team Renault Sport Formula One Team will collaborate on a number of projects. The partnership will not be limited to Formula 1, and in addition to BP Castrol providing fuel and lubricants to the team, the partners will work together to develop advanced mobility solutions and new technologies.

BP and Castrol are the official supplier of fuels and lubricants for the Renault Sport Formula One Team. Castrol also supplies lubricants to the team's Enstone technical center and Renault Sport Racing's Viry-Châtillon racing engine plant.
The BP and Castrol brands will continue to feature in Formula 1 car liveries, including on the 2018 R.S.18, which will be unveiled online for the first time on February 20.
