The third-generation SUV will be based on the CMF-B trolley. There will be no more diesel in Europe, but four-wheel drive should be left, although there is a nuance.
On the “old-world” market, the current second generation Duster crossover debuted in 2017, where, we recall, the model is sold under the Romanian brand Dacia (owned by the Renault Group). Euroversion survived the restyling in 2021, and last year the SUV was slightly modernized again — it got a new brand emblem. And now the third generation cross is approaching: photos of the test prototype appeared on the Cochespias website. The car is still covered with masking film, but this is the Duster's native body, not a mule.

The appearance will be based on the Dacia Bigster concept two years ago. In particular, from the show car, the serial crossover will inherit taillights in the form of “games”, massive bumpers and embossed sides, and a rather large spoiler. By the way, the Bigster itself will later also turn into a commercial SUV, which in the Dacia range will be a step above the Duster.

It is known that in the third generation Duster will finally say goodbye to the old B0 platform: the CMF-B “trolley” will form the basis of the fresh cross, the current Dacia Logan and Sandero, as well as the Dacia Jogger wagon, are also based on it. The new platform will allow the introduction of more modern security systems, plus the Duster is waiting for the electrification required in Europe: the model will receive hybrid versions. But there will be no more diesel in the Old World. They promise to leave all-wheel drive, however, according to unofficial data, such a performance will be exactly in the hybrid cross — with a separate electric motor on the rear axle. However, it is possible that Dacia will still change its mind and offer a “third” cross with traditional all-wheel drive.

In Europe, the third generation Dacia Duster is expected on sale in 2024 , although the model can celebrate the premiere at the end of 2023. Following the Dacia crossover, the generation will be replaced by the Renault Duster.
Let's note that before the start of the well-known events, the plans of the Renault Group included relatives of the Duster and Bigster under the Lada brand. However, the French no longer own AvtoVAZ, the companies will not have joint SUVs. The next Duster does not shine for us either — Renault left the Russian market.
