MOSCOW, March 15 Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov urged to take «exhaustive measures» so that such tragedies as the murder do not happen again two children and a teacher in the Ulyanovsk region and a massacre in an Izhevsk school, the correspondent reports.
«In general, supervision over the implementation of legislation on minors should be comprehensive, ranging from prevention to suppression of any violations, primarily related to the safety of children while they are in educational institutions, sports and leisure centers. Clear miscalculations in this area are evidenced by the events that occurred last year tragedies in educational institutions of the Udmurt Republic and the Ulyanovsk region,» Krasnov said at the extended board of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
«Take comprehensive measures to prevent it from happening again. Today is not the time to neglect even basic security requirements,» he added.
In April last year, when shooting at a kindergarten in Veshkaim, Ulyanovsk region, two children and a teacher were killed, and a junior teacher was wounded. The alleged killer who committed suicide was registered as mentally ill.
In September, at school No. 88 in Izhevsk, its graduate Artem Kazantsev, who was also registered with the psychoneurological dispensary, opened fire and then killed himself. Eighteen people died and more than 20 were injured.
