MOSCOW, March 14 Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov forwarded to Roscosmos the question of a possible award for Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina, who recently returned from the ISS, and noted that the return of the cosmonauts is always an important event.
The Crew Dragon spacecraft, the crew of which was the Russian woman Kikina, returned from the International Space Station to Earth on March 12.
«I can't answer this question. Of course, we noticed, but still, probably, the question is more within the competence of Roskosmos… This is, of course, an important event every time, we all follow our fellow citizens who fly into space and return from space, but as for the details, it’s better to contact Roskosmos,” Peskov said, answering a question from journalists about whether the Kremlin noted the return of Kikina and whether she will be awarded.
Anna Kikina arrived at the ISS in October on the Crew Dragon spacecraft as part of the international Crew-5 crew. She became the first Russian cosmonaut to fly on an American ship under an agreement signed last year between the United States and Russia on cross-flights. The first such flight, in principle, took place a little earlier. On September 21, 2022, the Russian Soyuz MS-22 docked to the ISS with Sergey Prokopiev, Dmitry Petelin and American astronaut Frank Rubio on board.
