MOSCOW, 15 Mar. A naked activist interrupted singer Avril Lavigne's performance at the 52nd Juno Awards in Canada, PageSix reports.
An unidentified woman ran onto the stage and took off her top. The phrases Save the Green Belt and Land Back were written on the body of the activist with a black marker (“Save the green zone and return the land” — Approx. Ed.).
The publication notes that later footage appeared on the Web showing Lavigne chasing the activist off the stage. However, she refused to do so. The violator of public order was taken out of the hall by a security guard.
A topless woman opposed the decision of Ontario Premier Doug Ford to build buildings on a protected green space, according to media reports.
At the Juno Awards in Edmonton, Avril Lavigne won the Audience Award.
