Man who hid murdered wife sent messages for her for two weeks

They were intended for the daughter so that she would not suspect something was wrong

New details of the murder of a woman in her apartment in Mytishchi near Moscow have become known. The ex-husband pretended that she was alive by sending messages from her phone.

They were intended for the daughter so that she would not suspect something was wrong

As MK managed to find out, 51-year-old Victoria (all names have been changed) lived alone in her apartment. Her 23-year-old daughter lived with her boyfriend at a different address, as did her eldest 32-year-old son from her first marriage. In 1999, Victoria married a Muscovite Nikolai, from whom she gave birth to a daughter. After some time, Nikolai started an affair on the side with a neighbor on the floor. Victoria found out about what was happening and even tried to save her family, trying to forgive her cheating spouse, but soon a boy was born to a neighbor. She could no longer endure this and filed for divorce — in 2005 the marriage broke up. The woman and her daughter moved to her mother's apartment in Mytishchi, and Nikolai, with a new passion, began to rent an apartment. But their relationship did not last long — two years later the couple broke up. The man often changed jobs, there were problems with money. Parents helped as much as possible, especially since he wanted to live separately and rented an apartment, but there was still not enough money. In addition, problems with the law began — Nikolai stole a bank card and withdrew money from it. For this he served a year and a half. Having been released, the man returned to his father's house with his parents, but a year later he again wanted to live separately. Communication with her daughter did not really develop, but they periodically met with her ex-wife.

On December 28 last year, Nikolai phoned Victoria, and she invited him to her place to celebrate the holidays. The adult daughter had long lived separately, so the table was set for two. During the celebration, the ex-spouses, warmed up by alcohol, unexpectedly quarreled. Vika recalled long-standing grievances, and a scandal arose out of the blue. The tipsy ex-husband unexpectedly hit the woman on the head with a kettle, then stabbed her in the chest several times with a knife. Realizing what had happened, Nikolai decided to hide the body of his ex-wife on the balcony under the shelves, covering it with a blanket and a blanket. Having tidied up the apartment a little, the killer took his wife's phone, a bank card and gold jewelry with him, after which he left the apartment, throwing the murder weapon into the garbage chute. So that they would not look for Victoria, he began to send messages to his daughter from her phone — they say, the woman left to celebrate the New Year with her friends in another city.

For the first days, the daughter believed the messages, especially since the mother “answered” questions via SMS, but then the subscriber disconnected. The worried daughter and her half-brother decided to write a statement about the loss of Victoria. On January 12, the police came to inspect her apartment. Having opened the door, law enforcement officers found documents of the missing woman in the apartment, which seemed very strange, and relatives pointed to the loss of gold jewelry. It became clear that something had happened. The police officers searched the entire apartment and even looked at the balcony, but they did not find the body. It turned out that Victoria (she worked as a laboratory assistant in a medical institution) was at work for the last time on December 27. Nicholas was also summoned for interrogation. At first, the man refused, but on January 25 he nevertheless turned himself in. He told about the circumstances of the murder and showed where he hid the body. The policemen were very surprised when they realized that they had made a fool of themselves during the first inspection of the apartment

As Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, said, a criminal case was initiated into the murder of a woman under part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation («Murder «). With regard to the man, the issue of choosing a measure of restraint is being decided.
