Fundación Canal Art Museum Madrid > presents an exhibition of color photographs by renowned French photographer Jacques-Henri Lartigue. Famed for the black-and-white chronicle of his era, Lartigue nevertheless always appreciated color, believing that it was «the best way to convey the charm and poetry of life.»

In the exposition «Lartig — hunter of happy moments«, which can be visited until April 23, presents «trente glorieuses» — the period from 1946 to 1975, when a consumer society was formed in Europe and France and living standards rose significantly. In the largest exhibition in Spain, you can see Lartigue's early photographs, when he began to experiment with autochromes, as well as later work, when he colored black and white photographs.

In The Hague, where the celebrations begin 125 anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Dutch graphic artist Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972), a new exhibition of his works has opened. «combines the works of the Dutch master with architectural installations that embody his bizarre world. In his works, Escher explored the concepts of infinity and symmetry, experimented with architecture, perspective and impossible spaces. Until September 10, visitors can admire the golden Gordian knot, look at the inverted stairs and doors leading to nowhere, get lost in labyrinths and mirror reflections.

A short walk from the Thames, in the heart of London Hayward Gallery has been completely transformed by installations and sculptures by Mike Nelson. The 57-year-old British artist has twice been nominated for the Turner Prize and represented the United Kingdom at the 2011 Venice Biennale.

This aficionado of recycled materials creates large-scale works, many of which are on display for the first time. other uses, such as tires collected from the London ring road or various scrap metal. The exhibition is open until May 7.
