A German manufacturer is testing a camouflaged «green» SUV prototype in the Far North.
The Audi brand is included in the composition of the Volkswagen concern, today the German manufacturer continues to go towards the «greening» of its own model range. As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the company announced its intention to switch to the development of exclusively electric vehicles after 2026. Audi intends to produce cars with internal combustion engines only until 2033.

At the end of last year, Audi officially confirmed that the all-electric Q6 e-tron crossover will go into series production as early as 2023. It is known that the production of this model will be launched at the plant in Ingolstadt (Germany). The fact that the “green” family will be replenished due to such a model has been known for more than a year, but only now the company decided to lift the veil of secrecy over the appearance of the novelty.
Audi has published photos of the Audi Q6 e-tron prototype, however, the car is still very carefully “hidden” with a masking film: you can only see the silhouette, proportions and part of the “pixel” pattern of the head optics, as well as the incomplete design of the rear lights. It is expected that the product model will have a silver-colored plug, made in the recognizable shape of the branded radiator grille.
The pictures of the disguised prototype «electrocrossover» were taken during winter tests: the future novelty is tested in extreme cold conditions in the Far North. The company noted that the Q6 e-tron will have a coupe-style version with Sportback added to the name.
The company has not yet said anything about the interior of the future crossover, but earlier “photo spies” had already managed to look into the salon. Judging by those pictures, the Audi Q6 e-tron will have a virtual instrument cluster and a separate touchscreen for the infotainment system, as well as narrow ventilation vents on the front panel. The crossover will also get the same “flat bottom” steering wheel as the Q4 e-tron.
There is still little official information about the “stuffing” of the Audi Q6 e-tron. It is known that the crossover will be the first car based on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform. The company also said that it will receive an «800-volt electrical system», «innovative battery management and charging technology» and «powerful electric motors» (the manufacturer did not specify the return).
According to preliminary data shared by Carscoops.com, the Audi Q6 e-tron can be equipped with a battery with a capacity of about 100 kWh. In addition, the model can get a twin-engine setup (one electric motor on each axle), its total power is likely to be 476 hp and maximum torque of 800 Nm. It is possible that the family will expand due to the “charged” version of the RS Q6 e-tron, the total output of the installation of which will be equal to 646 hp.
The company noted that the Audi Q6 e-tron will be the «first in line» of more than twenty new products that the brand intends to introduce before 2025. At the same time, about half of them will be fully electric models.
