The Prosecutor General's Office recognized “undesirable” organization of the Free Nations of PostRussia Forum public movement. This was reported on the website of the department.
“It has been established that the activities of the organization pose a threat to the foundations of the constitutional order and the security of the Russian Federation, and its leaders, who are citizens of foreign states and permanently residing in Lithuania, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, call for the violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation and come up with separatist nationalist slogans,” stated in the statement of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the department, the social movement was created in Poland. The «Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia» holds conferences at which «leaders of ethno-separatist movements and foreign speakers» speak. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, they are characterized by «anti-Russian orientation» and «Russophobia». Also, as follows from the press release, the movement spreads “fake news” about the war in Ukraine.
The Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia was founded by former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev with the participation of opposition activists. The task of the movement, judging by the information from its website, is to fight for the decolonization, decentralization and “de-Putinization” of Russia. The first conference of the forum was held on May 8-9, 2022 in Warsaw.
“Forum participants are developing approaches to creating transitional administrations and governments of post-Putin independent states of Russia, discussing minimizing the risks of uncontrolled collapse in key sectors (including and demilitarization with the complete abandonment of the nuclear arsenal), are engaged in the formation of a new collective security architecture in Europe and are developing a policy of peaceful, good-neighborly existence of the new independent republics of Russia and neighboring states,” the statement of the public movement reads.
