MOSCOW, Mar 17 Any attacks on the president Vladimir Putin is regarded as aggression against Russia, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said.
The Pre-trial Chamber of the ICC, whose jurisdiction Russia does not recognize, on March 17 issued a warrant for the «arrest» of Putin and children's ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova.
«Any attacks We regard the President of the Russian Federation as aggression against our country,» Volodin wrote in his Telegram channel.
Volodin noted that such actions demonstrate that the West is in hysterics. He added that Washington and Brussels understand that “if there is Putin, there is Russia.”
“Therefore, they attack him. Putin’s strength is in the support of the people, the consolidation of society around him,” Volodin specified. br>Volodin stressed that the decisions of the «alien Hague court» do not apply to Russia.
The press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that the mere raising the issue of the ICC decision is unacceptable, Moscow does not recognize the jurisdiction of this court, and any of its decisions are void from point of view of law.
