MOSCOW/YAROSLAVL, Mar 20 One of Creators of the group Cream Soda Dmitry Svirgunov and his friends fell through the ice on the Volga in the Yaroslavl region. Rescuers are looking for them, members of the VKontakte team reported.
«A tragedy happened to us tonight. Our Dima Nova, with his friends, was walking along the Volga and fell through the ice. Dima, his brother Roma and friend Grisha Kiselev are still looking for the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Aristarkh, our friend, who also fell under ice, we managed to get it, but we couldn’t save it. Earlier, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Yaroslavl Region told that in the village of Dievo-Gorodishche, 350 meters from the shore on the Volga, five people fell through the ice. Two people (a man and a woman) were rescued. Unfortunately, the man later died in the ambulance. Three more men are listed as missing, divers are looking for them.
According to the agency's source in the emergency services of the region, one of the missing is presumably Dmitry Svirgunov, whose details match the name and date of birth of the Creator of Cream Soda.
Cream Soda is a Russian electronic music group founded in 2012 by Dmitry «Nova» Svirgunov from Yaroslavl and Ilya Gadaev from Orekhovo-Zuyevo.
In 2019, Cream Soda's album «Kometa» gained more than 2 million streams on the social network «VKontakte» and ranked third on the Apple Music chart. In 2020, the musicians, together with the Khleb group, recorded a cover version of the song «Crying for Techno», which became the band's main hit. The single was the leader on all Russian digital platforms, and the video gained more than 50 million views.
