
MOSCOW, March 21 The new director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Elizaveta Likhacheva, said that she did not expect this appointment at all and was «terribly surprised.»
Director of the Shchusev Museum of Architecture Elizaveta Likhacheva was appointed general director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts on Tuesday. In this post, she replaced Marina Loshak, who wrote a letter of resignation.

Russian art historian Elizaveta Likhacheva was born on July 20, 1978 in Moscow. Graduated from the Department of History and Theory of Art of the Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Since 2006, she has worked at the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture and was appointed director in 2017.
