In China, the Chery Arrizo 8 is now offered with a non-alternative 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine (197 hp, 290 Nm) paired with a 7-speed «automatic» type DCT (with two clutches), but in the near future the range will be replenished with more powerful petrol and plug-in hybrid versions. Chery promises that we will also have a variety, up to a hybrid, but it is not yet clear whether the base version will be derated to a tax-friendly 149 hp. In any case, the Arrizo 8 will claim to be the leader in the luxury taxi segment, which is currently dominated by the Toyota Camry, Kia K5 and Hyundai Sonata.
