Czech President Pavlo has reduced the allowance for Ukrainian refugees

The Czech presidential administration reported that the Czech leader Petr Pavel signed a law reducing the amount of cash benefits for Ukrainian refugees. A message on the website of the administration says that this Wednesday, Pavel signed a decree amending law 66/2022 of the Czech Constitution on measures in the field of employment and social protection in connection with the conflict in Ukraine.

Thus, the changes made establish for Ukrainian refugees under the age of 18 the monthly allowance in the amount of the subsistence minimum of 3,490 kroons, or 12.2 thousand rubles, and for adult citizens, the allowance will be 4,860 kroons, or 17 thousand rubles. It is noted that until now, the amount of the benefit for the first five months was 5,000 kroons, or 17.5 thousand rubles, and subsequently the amount was reduced to the above values.

New amendments to the law also established that after the expiration of 150 days from the arrival of a refugee in the Czech Republic, if he has not entered a Czech educational institution, does not take care of a child under the age of 6, is not a disabled person, a pregnant woman or a pensioner over 65 years old, then the amount of his cash allowance will be reduced to 3130 kroons, or 11 thousand rubles.
