
MOSCOW, Mar 24 Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at a government meeting instructed the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the regions to ensure that the funds allocated for support reach the farmers on time.
«I ask you to keep the situation under constant control. And what is very important here is that the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the regions, makes sure that the money reaches the farmers on time, now this is also very important. You know all this, so I hope that we will also work effectively this year,» Mishustin told Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev.
During the meeting, Patrushev spoke about the preparations for field work and measures to support the agro-industrial complex. 107 billion rubles were allocated for state support of farmers in 2023.
«The government will continue to help the agro-industrial complex, all subsidies necessary for field work have been preserved,» Mishustin said at a Cabinet meeting.
He noted that the government understands how important so that agricultural producers are provided with seeds, fuel, fertilizer, and machinery. «Then we can count on an increase in the sowing of cereals, potatoes, other vegetables, and also fodder crops,» Mishustin added.
