Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, in an interview with Russian media, said that the number of the Russian army is to be increased.
«Our army should become larger,» Medvedev said .
He added that the size of the army had already been determined. «This is at least 1.5 million people,» Medvedev stressed.
Recall that earlier Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the number of servicemen in the RF Armed Forces should be increased to 1.5 million people. According to him, it is planned to recruit 695,000 contract soldiers.
