For success, the country lacks self-confidence and the necessary goal-setting
Over the past 30 years, the world has changed a lot, and the changes associated with the beginning of the NWO are even faster. But something in our life is amazing in its stability. Namely: fidelity to Gaidar's principles in Russia's economic policy. The Western picture of the world, alien «optics» still dominate. This is a view of Russia as a raw material appendage, a “weak link” capable of existing only in the third tier of “underdeveloped countries” as a consumer of goods produced by “our partners”. In peacetime, products were supplied directly, in the current — in parallel, bypassing the sanctions. The East is pushing the West — this is import substitution.
Lack of ideological self-sufficiency is an inexplicable phenomenon of our days. Liberals of the Gaidar generation love to develop the theme of the uselessness of domestic production. Their favorite mantra: let's support «just business». Is it unprofitable to produce aircraft, combines, cars? Let's buy everything! And first we will sell oil, gas, diamonds, gold, timber and other raw materials. As for development, the green light has been given to the banking sector and the service sector. A whole «philosophy» is built around the so-called «experience economy». Tourism, show business, billions invested in the construction of football stadiums… Is this really the main thing for us?!
The psychology of a passive consumer, «learned helplessness» was consistently rooted in the public mind. “Why do we need our cars? The foreign car is more beautiful. Smartphones? Complex production, we will not succeed. Does the Central Bank keep a high key rate? Well, you can put money on deposit and receive income from interest.”
But if a country does not develop industrial production, it inevitably falls into the trap of dependence on raw materials. And then the flawed economy aggressively dictates its own laws. From the point of view of adherents of the Gaidar-Chubais nano-theory, it makes no sense to develop education and science. This is inefficient, unprofitable — useless spending, unnecessary investments, money wasted. Indeed, why do we need engineers in a country where entire industries have been practically destroyed: machine tool building, civil aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, electronics, instrumentation, etc.
There is a Priority 2030 program of the Ministry of Education and Science for the development of higher education. Grants are allocated, projects are supported. «Priorities» diligently avoids the topic of interaction between institutions, universities and industry.
We conducted a survey of the heads of enterprises of the association «Rosspetsmash». And we saw that 100% of managers faced difficulties in training. Finding a qualified engineer, designer, turner, welder, machine operator, electrician, seamstress is a problem! Young people, future employees, do not have faith that the success of the enterprise will be permanent.
The «advanced doctrine» of embedding Russia in the tail of the Western economy naturally led us to lag behind many countries in the pace of technological development, to demographic problems, to the degradation of education, health care, to social stratification, a decrease in defense potential, a crisis in the management system.
The former policy — economic, financial — is now completely bankrupt. At the same time, the government did not put forward a global alternative strategy. The maximum that we see is a reaction to external stimuli, to sanctions. There is a noticeable desire to survive this time of crisis and continue to exist as before.
Obviously, after the start of the NWO, there can be no question of any integration of Russia into the West. Accordingly, it is necessary to change the policy. And it is necessary to change approaches in many areas at once.
Winning for Russia means building a healthy, powerful economy and, more broadly, preserving and developing its civilization (the civilization of Russia) in the face of confrontation with the West.
Is it possible to have a clear and consistent policy that responds to challenges and leads to the development of the country ? Yes, there are no objective obstacles to Russia's development. The only question is the correct goal-setting and building of society.
Today's task is to create conditions in Russia for those who want to be engaged in creation, development of industry, technology and science. The country needs a new industrialization — the third after the tsarist (late XIX — early XX centuries) and Soviet, Stalinist.
If we create conditions for the processing industry, young people will understand that by getting a real, not a fictitious education, they can succeed in their country, build a career, show their abilities, raise living standards, and benefit society. People will see development prospects, will be able to confidently look into the future, support their families, and raise children. Not services, not an ephemeral «experience economy» or financial speculation, but participation in a big real business — new industrialization — can completely change the mood in society.
This approach opens up new horizons for us, gives us tools to solve possible problems in the future.
In the meantime, industrial production in Russia has been declining every month since March 2022. Since the beginning of the NWO, not a single tax for the non-primary industry has been reduced. There are no restrictions on the export of raw materials. Metal in Russia, without which it is impossible to develop domestic engineering, as it cost much more than on the world market, and still costs today. The Central Bank of the Russian Federation, as it conducted a policy aimed at fighting inflation, but not focused on non-resource development, continues to act according to the old patterns.
This is not a fight against inflation. This is a ban on the development of the country.
Tax policy stifles industry with high taxes. The main benefits are to help the oligarchs from the bureau of the board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. We have the richest pay less taxes than the poor. Metallurgy has the most favorable treatment, numerous tax benefits, and the absence of export duties. Oligarchic structures receive trillions of dividends, and this money immediately flows out of the country. Data on this is published officially and … this situation suits everyone. Apparently.
In our resource-producing country, gasoline and electricity should be cheaper for citizens and businesses. And taxes and excises also dictate prices here. Our electricity is more expensive than in China. How is that even possible?
Back in 2008, I wrote the book «Smart Industrial Policy, or How We Get Out of the Crisis.» Based on personal experience of working with industrial enterprises, it shows how to use the competitive advantages of Russia. The book is small, a pamphlet, but it says why it is not necessary to fight inflation, why it is harmful to join the WTO, it says how to correctly prioritize among manufacturing sectors, how to assess the equality of competition conditions and how to ensure it.
The book is not outdated even now. And only strengthened by new facts. On the one hand, it is joyful that I was not mistaken, on the other hand, it is disappointing that, despite the huge upheavals, global geopolitical shifts, the government lives the old fashioned way, without changing approaches. Although the issue of risks for the country has already been voiced by the top leadership of the country.
The economy does not live separately. We need a holistic view. There is no technology and economy without culture. But even without an economy there is no independent culture, the country then becomes the object of manipulation by strong neighbors. Without science there is no economy, without education there is no economy. Without a harmonious social structure, a political structure, with a discussion of concepts, ideas, with working social elevators, there will also be no developed and modern economy.
Today is the time for the authorities to choose whether they will hear society and respond correctly, or will suppress all healthy ideas, tend to «freeze». The inability to make positive changes can turn into very painful things for all of us, including those who sit in high offices.
Russia has huge opportunities. We have everything for dynamic economic development in all areas. There is a lack of self-confidence, moral and personnel recovery, and the necessary, modern goal-setting. We must work and bring this moment closer — the transformation of Russia.
