In 2023, Russia's GDP will fall by one and a half percent, it will be possible to reach the growth trajectory no earlier than 2024. This is stated in the updated forecast of the ACRA rating agency, RBC reports.
In the previous forecast, analysts assumed a decline of 2.8 percent. Its mitigation was the result of improved estimates of global economic growth, higher-than-expected foreign trade indicators and increased budget spending.
Analysts polled by the Russian Central Bank believe that by the end of this year, the Russian economy is expected to fall in the amount of 1, 1 percent.
In turn, Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier expressed confidence that by the end of 2023 the Russian economy will experience significant growth.
