MOSCOW, 26 Mar Singer Ani Lorak stated that she does not support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The artist wrote about this in her official Telegram channel.
The day before, the mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Naumov said that the cancellation of Ani Lorak's concert scheduled for March 27 in the regional center is due to the lack of a guarantee that the proceeds from ticket sales will not go for the purchase of shells and ammunition for those who are fighting against Russia.
«In 2014, some politicians in Ukraine wanted to use me for their own purposes, which I could not agree with. As a result, I found myself in a very an uncomfortable situation and faced negative consequences in her life, which only my inner circle knows about,» she said.
According to Lorak, the authorities of her native country gave her only two choices: to play their game or get a ban on performances in Ukraine. They also «pushed her against the wall» and thus pushed her to move to neighboring Russia, Lorak complained.
At the same time, the artist stressed that she does not position herself as a politician and does not want to make political statements.

«I've never provided military assistance. <…> I can only help as part of a humanitarian mission, which I have been doing all my life,» she added.
In conclusion, Lorak noted that she values her Russian and Ukrainian fans.
