NIZHNY NOVGOROD, March 27 On the eve of the professional holiday, a member of the National Guard in Kirov rescued a man who fell through the ice of a pond, the press service reported Rosgvardia in the Volga District.
«On the afternoon of March 26, Senior Police Sergeant Ilya Klopot, a policeman from the battalion of the private security department for the city of Kirov, was walking with his pregnant wife in the Kirov Park on his day off. He heard a cry for help and saw a man who fell into the water on in the middle of the pond. The man held on to the edge of the ice and called for help,» the press service said.
Regvardeets came to the aid of a drowning man who was up to his neck in water. He crawled across the thin ice to the hole and on his second attempt managed to grab the man by the scruff of the neck and pull him out of the water.
As noted in the press service of the department, the rescued did not wait for the ambulance and left without introducing himself.
