MOSCOW, Mar 28 Moomin Characters has not revoked the license to use Moomins in Russia, Brand4rent CEO told BFM.ru. representing the interests of a Finnish company.
According to him, last week the Brand4rent agency noticed an advertisement for an event in «Afimall» on the Moomins. It was not licensed, so a notification was sent to the shopping center.
“The event was canceled, but today there was news that someone had revoked the license from Afimall. We did not revoke the license because it was never issued,” says Kulakov.
Reports appeared on the Web that the Finnish Moomin Characters, which owns the rights to the heroes of Moomin fairy tales, does not issue new ones in Russia and does not renew old agreements on the use of character images.
