The father of Masha Moskaleva from Efremov, who made the anti-war drawing, Alexei escaped from house arrest before being sentenced to “discredit” the army. This was announced after the announcement of the verdict by press secretary Olga Dyachuk.
The Ephraim Interdistrict Court of the Tula Region agreed with the state prosecution and appointed Moskalev two years in a penal colony. After that, Dyachuk said: “The verdict was announced today, but the defendant was not present, because he escaped last night.” After that, applause broke out in the hall.

The security forces drew attention to a resident of Efremov in April 2022, after he was called to school because of an anti-war drawing by his daughter Masha. Then Moskalev was fined because of a comment in Odnoklassniki, and at the end of the year a criminal case was opened against him because of a post about the murders in Bucha in the same social network (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code).
Since March 2, the man has been under house arrest, his daughter was taken to an orphanage and they refuse to give it to her father. During the debate, the prosecutor demanded that Moskalev be sent to a pre-trial detention center, since house arrest was «repeatedly violated.» A resident of Efremov explained that the bracelet that fixes his geolocation does not work in some rooms of the apartment, including in the bedroom and toilet.
