These pickups have their own appearance, modified chassis and a number of technical improvements.
The American brand Ford introduced the third generation Ranger at the end of November 2021. Recall that the pickup truck was created as part of a partnership agreement with the Volkswagen concern (it is the “twin” of the new VW Amarok). Ranger quickly began to “acquire” versions: for example, in February 2022, a “charged” version appeared with the Raptor prefix to the name, and at the end of November, the manufacturer showed the top Platinum version. Now two «off-road» special versions have become available in the European market — Ford Ranger Tremor and Wildtrak X.
Tremor
According to Ford Pro head Hans Schep, the pickup's new performances inherit elements of the «off-road DNA» from the Ranger Raptor. According to him, the Wildtrak X and Tremor series were «created according to the same recipe», but they have differences both visually and technically.
The Ford Ranger Tremor is based on the XLT trim. “By eye” it can be distinguished by black moldings, extended wheel arches, black aluminum steps, similar to the additional crossbars in the cargo compartment, underlined towing eyes integrated into the lower part of the front bumper, as well as gray decor elements. There's also a practical change in the cabin of the special edition: the seats are finished in waterproof and easy-to-clean vinyl; the floor mats are made from the same material.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak X is an off-road upgrade from the Wildtrak. Visually it can be distinguished by a larger mesh grille, wheel arch covers, an Ashphalt black rear bumper, blacked-out Ford emblems and black 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in off-road tires with contrasting white lettering.

Both special versions received a number of technical improvements and a modified chassis. They have a 30mm wider track and 26mm more ground clearance than the standard Ranger. The cars were equipped with reinforced Bilstein shock absorbers, reinforced power steering, as well as a new cornering assistance system (allows you to reduce the Ranger turning radius by up to 25%). In addition, the Wildtrak X and Tremor have Trail Control low-speed cruise control (which debuted on the Ranger Raptor).

Both special versions are equipped with a 2.0-litre EcoBlue bi-turbo diesel engine with an output of 205 hp and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. It only works in tandem with a ten-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive only.

European dealers will begin accepting orders for new versions of the Ford Ranger this month, and live sales of off-road versions will start in August. The company noted that the pickup performed well in the region last year, with a 44.9% segment share in the old-world market.
