MOSCOW, 28 Mar. Martin Scorsese's new film «Killers of the Flower Moon» has received a theatrical premiere date of October 20, writes IndieWire.
The publication also notes that there are rumors that the project will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival in May. If this happens, the picture will be Scorsese's first film at this show in almost 40 years. In 1986, he traveled to France with the drama After Work. The tape brought him an award for directing.
The Flower Moon Killers has a stellar cast. Declared Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser and others.
The project is described as Scorsese's first western. It is based on David Grann's non-fiction about a series of murders in Oklahoma. They occurred in the 1920s after oil was found on the lands of the Osage Indians.
