Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the sanctions imposed on Russia could indeed have a negative impact on its economy. He said this at a meeting with members of the government.
“The illegitimate restrictions imposed on the Russian economy in the medium term can really have a negative impact on it,” he said.
According to him, to counteract this, a steady increase in domestic demand is needed. It is the provision of domestic demand that will become the leading factor in economic growth in this situation, he believes.
