The court in St. Petersburg banned the quote of the philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre «Any anti-communist is a bastard…»

The Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office and banned the statement of the French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre «Any anti-communist is a bastard …». This was reported by the correspondent of «Zaks.ru» from the courtroom.

According to the prosecutor's office, the quote contains «humiliation of a person's dignity based on political, ideological hatred or enmity.» How many links with the statement were eventually banned, the correspondent of the publication did not specify.

Initially, the department insisted on a ban on 42 links, but a lawsuit was filed against Alexei Filippov, a member of the St. Petersburg branch of the Communist Party. One of the links to be banned leads to his post. Communist spokeswoman Tatyana Dyachkova called the claims against him «incomprehensible and incorrect.»

In February last year, Filippov was fined 10,000 rubles because of Sartre's quote. Experts from the St Petersburg University Center for Expertise saw in it signs of inciting hatred for ideological reasons, and the police drew up a protocol under Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
