PERM, March 30 The Court of Appeal dismissed the Anacondaz rock band's complaint about the refusal to recover damages due to the disruption of the concert in Perm, follows from the data of the arbitration filing cabinet.
“Leave the decision of the court unchanged, the complaint — without satisfaction,” is indicated in the electronic file on the decision of the Seventeenth Arbitration Court of Appeal.
The Anacondaz concert in Perm was supposed to take place on July 23, 2022 at the MICHURIN club. At about 20:00, the musicians began to sing songs, but after a while the police entered the room and asked everyone, including the band, to leave the hall.
The rockers estimated the losses at 225,000 rubles and filed a lawsuit against the police and the Perm Treasury, stating that the law enforcement officers «went beyond their powers by banning the event.» The Ministry of Internal Affairs insisted on the legitimacy of their actions, since the fire safety requirements were violated in the institution.
In January 2023, the Arbitration Court of the Perm Territory denied the group's claim, considering the actions of law enforcement officers to evacuate people justified. Anacondaz filed a complaint against the decision in February.
Earlier, the musicians of Anacondaz sued because of the canceled concert in Yekaterinburg on July 22, 2022, and also unsuccessfully. At the meeting, the prosecutor's office explained that in this case, measures were taken «aimed at preventing provocative political statements, as well as statements aimed at discrediting the activities of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation by members of the Anacondaz group during the concert.»
