The Investigative Committee has filed a case against political scientist Abbas Gallyamov for spreading «fakes» about the Russian military, the human rights project Network Freedoms reported. it became known a week ago when Mediazona found him in the search database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the decision to initiate a case, which human rights activists refer to, the political scientist’s interview with the Groshi YouTube channel, a special project of the Ukrainian TV channel 1 +1”, dated April 9, 2022.
Gallyamov, as the document says, spoke about “the destruction of settlements and the killing of the civilian population in Bucha and Kramatorsk” (clause “e” of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) .
In early April 2022, Bucha and other settlements near Kiev were returned to the control of the Ukrainian military. Ukrainian authorities estimate that more than 1,400 people were killed in the city during the month that Russian troops were in the city. On the morning of April 8, a rocket hit the Kramatorsk railway station in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, killing more than 50 people.
