RYAZAN, March 30 In the Tver region, as a result of rising water levels in the river, a wooden building was carried away, which in 2016 was used as a bathhouse when filming a film, the Vasilevo architectural and ethnographic museum reported.
Footage of a wooden structure floating down the Tvertsa River in Torzhok appeared on local social media on Wednesday. On Thursday, a video was published, the author of which reports that the drifting bath has found a new home in the village of Panika.
“This is a cinematic set, it was intended for the film “Freedom”, which was filmed back in 2016. It stood safely for seven years, yesterday it decided to sail away. But today it has already found refuge not far from Torzhok,” the museum said.
The interlocutor of the agency clarified that the floating bathhouse was not an exhibit, the museum does not plan to return the building, it is of no value. The people «to whom she moored» have already called the museum, «an extra building» will not hurt them, the institution added.
The floating building was located on the shore, in the film it was used in the scene, «when the main character, before getting married, with the girls in the bath … bathed.» The museum itself is located further from the river, and nothing threatens its exhibits at this stage, the museum noted.
