MOSCOW, Mar 29 Vladimir Putin accepted his resignation Governor of the Omsk Region Alexander Burkov and appointed Acting Head of the Region Vitaly Khotsenko, the Kremlin press service reported. — the text of the presidential decree says.
Burkov wrote a statement on the early termination of his powers of his own free will.
The corresponding decree came into force from the day it was signed.
The President held a meeting via videoconference with Khotsenko and stressed that there are a lot of unresolved tasks in the Omsk Region.
«I Then I ask you to analyze everything again, discuss it with your colleagues — both with those who are currently working and with those who can come to renew the team.In this case, of course, the emphasis should be on people who know the problems of the region , have proven themselves well,» Putin said.
The head of state added that in terms of its climatic parameters, the Omsk region is one of the most suitable for life, and in terms of economic development, the social sphere, much needs to be done to improve the situation in the region.
Khotsenko promised the Russian leader to continue supporting the city of Stakhanov in the LPR sponsored by the region, as well as to pay attention to the mobilized.

Khotsenko has headed the government of the Donetsk People's Republic since June 2022.
