MOSCOW, 1 Apr. The elite Moscow apartment of the ex-Minister of the Open Government, Mikhail Abyzov, was put up for auction again, according to the information of the GIS Auctions portal.
An apartment in Khamovniki with an area of more than three hundred square meters is being sold at a starting price of more than four hundred million rubles, the auction step was four million rubles, the auction itself is scheduled for April 19.
Mikhail Abyzov, along with eleven other defendants in the case, is charged under criminal articles: «Creating a criminal community using his official position and participating in its activities», «Fraud on an especially large scale», «Legalization of funds received as a result of a crime», «Commercial bribery», «Illegal participation in entrepreneurial activity».
According to the investigation, in 2012-2018, defendants in the criminal community stole four billion from the energy companies Sibeko and RES rubles. They are also involved in illegal business activities with the extraction of income in excess of 32.5 billion rubles, commercial bribery and money and asset laundering. According to the anti-corruption lawsuit of the Prosecutor General's Office, 32.5 billion rubles were recovered from Abyzov and the Cypriot companies controlled by him, the property of the defendants in the case was arrested.
