MOSCOW, April 1Gazprom supplies gas through Ukraine in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side through the Sudzha gas measuring station (GIS) — 37.4 million cubic meters as of April 1, the application for the Sokhranovka GIS was rejected again, said the official representative of the Russian company Sergey Kupriyanov.

Since the end of May last year, with the exception of certain days, gas supplies from Russia through the gas transmission system of Ukraine to Europe have been at the level of 40-43 million cubic meters per day. However, from January 4, 2023, the figure began to decline until it reached 24.4 million cubic meters per day.
But from February 1, the indicator again moved to growth, and on February 22 — returned to the level of the end of the year. Experts noted that the increase in deliveries was due to the convergence of Gazprom's contract prices and prices on the spot market (with immediate delivery, as a rule, the next day) in Europe.
In May, Ukraine stopped receiving gas for transit through the GIS «Sokhranivka», referring to the fact that it is under the control of Russian forces (on the territory LNR). As a result, only one entrance remained for gas transit to Europe — GIS «Sudzha». Gazprom stated that transferring all volumes to Sudzha is technologically impossible, the company fulfills all obligations to European consumers, and transit services are fully paid.
At the same time, the transit agreement between Gazprom and Ukraine assumes that the guaranteed daily volume of pumping (on both sides) from 2021 is 109.6 million cubic meters.
