The Moscow Automobile Plant Moskvich announced today that it has signed an agreement with Flot LLC (a division of Yandex) for the supply of two thousand Moskvich 3e electric crossovers for taxi fleets-partners of the Yandex.Taxi service (the Troika also has a purely gasoline version, and Kolesa.ru has already tested it). The ceremony was held directly at the enterprise in the presence of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, and the second model of the revived brand, the Moskvich 6 liftback, was also shown there, its photo was published by the capital's mayor in his telegram channel, in addition, the plant itself shared branded pictures. But the brand has not yet disclosed the characteristics, while it is stated that the car will go on sale in the second half of this year. However, the main inputs are already there.

As in the case of the Moskvich 3/3e crossover, the model of the Chinese company JAC received a new emblem (JAC JS4 was taken as the basis for the “troika”): Sehol Yao became the donor for the Moskvich 6 (the JAC concern uses the Sehol brand mainly at home), then there is one of the varieties of the «five-door» JAC J7, which is also sold in Russia. The length of the Chinese source is 4780 mm, width — 1820 mm, height — 1492 mm, wheelbase — 2770 mm. Trunk volume JAC Sehol Yao — 540 liters, with the rear seats folded down, this figure will increase to 1650 liters.

Externally, this liftback differs from the JAC J7 available in the Russian Federation with more aggressive bumpers, plus it has original optics and a radiator grille. Inside, Yao has a different front panel and steering wheel, a two-story central tunnel. The model is also equipped with a multimedia system with a vertical touchscreen, but the tablet rises slightly above the panel. The Moscow mayor's office, in turn, clarified that the Moskvich 6 still provides a panoramic roof, virtual tidy, electric tailgate and all-round cameras.

In China, the Sehol Yao is presented with a 1.5-liter 1.5 petrol engine with 184 hp, which is combined with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. At home, there are also electric versions. JAC J7 in Russia is available with a 136-horsepower 1.5 turbo engine, paired with a six-speed «mechanics» or CVT. Drive in any case only front. one model: at the end of March, the brand shared a teaser, which depicted just Moskvich 6 and an unnamed crossover. Judging by the presentation slides published in 2022 with an “approximate model range” (“six” were also on them), it will turn out to be either a JAC S7 (this crossover is no longer sold under its native brand in Russia), or a JAC Sehol X6 (to us it has not been brought before).
