PRAGUE, April 4A student of Charles University appeared before a disciplinary committee for using artificial intelligence (AI) to solve a test, which was the first case of such application of technology, ČT24 TV channel reported on Tuesday.
«Artificial intelligence was used to answer an open question in the test. The commission decided to punish the student,» Clara Gilakova, a representative of the Faculty of Sociology at Charles University, quoted the TV channel as saying.
It is noted that the non-independent performance of the task was the reason for the consideration of the case by the disciplinary commission.
“Suspicion was aroused by vague wording and syntactic constructions atypical for the Czech language,” Gilakova added.
This is the first case in the Czech Republic of using artificial intelligence to solve a learning task, the TV channel reports. Representatives of other universities, when asked about the possibility of using AI by students, answered that they would classify it as plagiarism.
Currently, there is no software or method that would recognize the work done by AI. AI issues are handled by the Czech Ministry of Education as part of equipping schools with access to advanced digital technologies, the TV channel added. ://ria.ru/20230404/chatgpt-1862985117.html» data-title=»In Thailand, a man won the lottery with numbers offered by ChatGPT»>
